Further Wanderings into the Scary Things......

Every day you see all of these commercials with a catchy song urging you to "Check your Credit Score."

I have no earthly idea what mine is.
I used to know it, worry about it, pet it and stroke it all the time, society told me it was Excellent, I could have anything I wanted, just sign here on the dotted line.....so I did, never mind the fact that it meant working like a slave to pay for all of it, society says we need it NOW, throw caution to the wind and get it.

There's nothing like a good old fashioned divorce to reduce that rating to "bad.",
At first I was pissed about that, I WANTED IT NOW NOW NOW, in hindsight having that ability taken away was probably one of the best things that has ever happened to me.

I got married again about three years ago, neither of us had much, but both of us were determined to have a decent standard of living.
To do that without credit forces you into an unheard of discipline, the forgotten way of life that is "LIVING WIHIN YOUR MEANS.", very hard to get used to at first, but Ohhh so rewarding when you learn how.
Basically, we don't buy anything that we can't pay CASH for. It requires saving and self discipline, sacrifices in the form of lots of overtime at work if you get impatient, but rewards you with lots less worry and a supreme sense of accomplishment.

It also lets me sleep at night when I read stuff like this.......

24 Signs Of Economic Decline In America

And Awaaaaay we GO!!!!

I hope this doesn't suck........nevertheless, here we go with my favorite findings while trying to see the big picture of where the world is headed.

This article really hit home with me, it articulates very well how I feel about Government in general.

This one does as well.

The more I read the madder I get at "The State." Every child in 2nd grade or earlier learns that America was founded on "Life,Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." If you really look at it though, we don't have any of those.
Ask yourself a simple question if you don't believe me, How many people can you name who have been incarcerated or fined for a VICTIMLESS CRIME???? I would be willing to bet that it is more than you can count without taking your shoes off. How did it come to be that we could be penalized for things that "someone" decided were wrong, even though no one is bothered or hurt in anyway??

Or, in the words of Men much wiser than a lowly Millwright from Saline,Louisiana will ever be, I leave you with this,

I believe that every individual is naturally entitled to do as he pleases with himself and the fruits of his labor, so far as it in no way interferes with any other men's rights. – Abraham Lincoln

A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government. – Thomas Jefferson (1801)
